Department of Political Science
Political Science is an offshoot of Social Science. It is a multidisciplinary field that integrates knowledge, hypothesis and research methods that apply to all political relations. The department takes various steps to create interest about the subject among the students. Along with theoretical teaching the department seeks to give the students an exposure to the complex working procedure of the democratic governance of the country through programmes like Youth Parliament and special lectures organized from time to time.
Political Science as a discipline is not only providing the political knowledge to the students but it also helps students to get various attractive job. After completion of bachelor or master degree and qualifying competitive exam the students of political science can choose his /her career as Teacher(school, college, university ), Research Analyst (university, research institution), Political Journalist, Civil Service, Administrative Service and Political Adviser. A graduate of political science has a bright future in Judicial Services as well.
